Our Tufted Rug Covers wash a bit differently than the other Ruggable products you know and love. While our Flatwoven Rug Covers and high pile textures maintain the same rigidity and minimum washer size recommendations over time, our Tufted Rug Cover actually becomes more flexible and easier to wash after the first wash cycle. As a result, for some sizes, our recommended minimum washer size for the first wash differs from our recommended minimum washer size for subsequent washes.
For a 6' x 9' Tufted Rug Cover, the minimum recommended washer size for a first wash is 4.5 cubic feet or larger; however, with subsequent washes, you may be able to use a washer as small as 4.1 cubic feet.
For other sizes, our washing machine size guidance does not significantly change, but you should find that the wash experience becomes easier over the course of your Tufted Rug Cover's lifespan.
